Mega Reishi (Ganoderma Sessile) (Fresh)
Fresh “Mega Reishi” Mushrooms (Ganoderma sessile)
– Medicinal & Locally Grown
Our Mega Reishi strain is a locally bio-prospected variety of Ganoderma sessile, discovered and cultivated from wild specimens originally collected in Houston, Texas. Unlike the traditional conk-forming Ganoderma lucidum, this sessile variant develops thick, lacquered antler formations with deep mahogany hues and a dense, woody structure — a truly striking example of living art and medicinal potential.
🌱 Why You’ll Love It
Grown fresh in small batches under controlled conditions for optimal resinous development.
A natural source of polysaccharides, triterpenes, and antioxidants known for immune-supportive and adaptogenic properties.
Used for centuries in Eastern medicine to promote balance, longevity, and vitality.
Each fruitbody displays unique antler-like formations, making it both medicinal and ornamental.
🍵 Usage Ideas
Slice and simmer slowly in hot water or tea for a deeply earthy, bitter tonic.
Use fresh pieces to prepare long-brew decoctions or dual-extract tinctures.
Dry or freeze-dry portions for long-term storage or artistic display.
Add to wellness blends, teas, or mushroom broths for immune and adaptogenic support.
📦 Availability
Sold fresh, harvested to order for peak potency and visual quality.
Each specimen individually inspected and packaged to preserve structure and sheen.
Local pickup & delivery available (ask for details).
✨ Experience the bold vitality and beauty of Mega Reishi — a rare, resinous Florida-grown sessile strain cultivated with precision, reverence, and care.
Fresh Mushroom Fruitbodies – Locally Harvested & Shipped
Fresh mushroom fruitbodies — particularly those with lower moisture content (amount of water per gram of wet weight) — are often best extracted before drying. Many extraction specialists believe that during homogenization, water binds with ethanol, enabling a more thorough extraction and will aid in protecting delicate volatile compounds that may otherwise be lost or degraded in the dehydration process.
Harvest & Pickup
Fresh fruitbodies begin being harvested Saturday morning then are brought directly to our booth for local pickup or refrigerated to be shipped out the following business day.
Shipping
Any remaining product is removed from refrigeration Monday morning and shipped via FedEx or UPS in insulated boxes with ice packs. If you’re ordering fresh produce, please plan accordingly to receive it promptly.
Local Deliveries
Harvesting continues through midweek. Wednesday is our local delivery day for Brevard County residents as well as restaurants.
Referral Program
If you know a restaurant kitchen manager in Brevard County, we offer referral rewards: either store credit or a 15–25% finder’s fee on our first transaction.
Support Local
Operating costs here are high — from the electricity to keep our facility cool to hauling in grain by the ton from out of state. Any referrals or word-of-mouth support are greatly appreciated. At the very least, come by the booth on Sunday and pick out some nice Reishi art, as they make great gifts.
