Locally Domesticated "Mega" Reishi Slant or Agar Plate
This is the most AGGRESSIVE Reishi I’ve come across!
One day while walking through a local North Houston park, I noticed this thick clump of Ganoderma Lucidum growing around the base of a dying oak tree. What made this Mushroom so interesting is that it completely grew around the outlet at the end of a string of Christmas lights. They say mushrooms will grow where lightning strikes. I’m pretty sure this mushroom was syphoning electricity from the open outlet. I’ve never seen such a huge, beautiful cluster of Reishi form like this in the wild. Typically, we’ll only see a little antler or conk forming at the base of a tree stump every now and again. Naturally, I let it continue to grow until fully mature. I then took a chunk off the biggest layer of tissue and brought it home to clone. The rest is history. It tends to form long, beefy antlers which will conk as oxygen levels increase.
