Salt X Dellene Peralta Medusa Statue
Extremely rare piece! Salt had only been blowing glass for a couple years at the point this was made.
Everyone loves Salt Glass! He’s been blowing glass since 2007 and has made a huge impact in the Austin Texas glass scene over the years! Anyone who’s ever devoted themselves to perfecting a craft over the course of a decade plus will appreciate how much blood sweat and tears go into producing his amazing works of art! One of my close friends has been stocking up on salt drops for the last 12+ years. I’ve got access to a huge inventory of Salt glass in possession of this private collector.
This piece was brought to life between 2008 and 2009 as confirmed by Dellene herself! These photos really do it so much justice! I can sit here and admire every fine detail that the naked eye would miss. Eye mean…. Look into her eyes. There’s the smallest, most microscopic details that you will notice around her pupils. It’s a shame Up ‘N Smoke art Gallery closed during the Covid lockdown in March of 2020. They have so many secret gems like this one that I was able to obtain while liquidating inventory. It’s going to take a lot to pry this one from my cold, dead, sporulated hands.
